Vanessa & Keith, July 16

I was so happy to be asked to shoot their wedding. I went to school with Vanessa and Keith and haven't really spoken to them (if you don't count Facebook) since we graduated in 2004. Vanessa contacted me last year to do their engagement pics, which we had a blast shooting at Hockeytown Cafe and in downtown Detroit. I was thrilled when they came and asked me to shoot their wedding too. It was like a mini high school reunion seeing them again and then all the friends that invited or had standing up in their wedding. I'd love to be known as the official alumni photographer ;) Here are my favorite shots from their day!

Heather & Scott, July 8/9, 2011

I had the pleasure of shooting my second Heather & Scott couple this year. This time the wedding took place in Clemmons, NC in Tanglewood Park under the Oak Tree. After a bit of a scare with the pouring down rain the clouds opened up and held back the rain for just enough time to get the ceremony in. It was gorgeous! Enjoy some of my favorite shots from the day.

Heather & Scott

I've known Heather since high school and was honored when she approached me a few months back to be her wedding photographer. Her wedding isn't until June 2011, but when I found out we would both be in Michigan over the holidays I convinced her and her fiance to do an engagement shoot outside. We were all a little skeptical and it was a chilly 25 degrees out on the shoot date, but they turned out fantastic. Here is a preview of their snow shoot!

Vanessa & Keith

I met up with Vanessa and Keith last Saturday in Detroit for their engagement shoot. We all graduated from FHS together (class of '04) and I haven't seen them since graduation day, so it was a pleasure to catch up. They both haven't changed from what I remember, Vanessa is still sweet and gorgeous as ever and Keith is still a lot of fun to be around. My mom tagged along and Keith had my Mom laughing throughout the shoot. It was a lot of fun, not to mention the great opportunity we had to shoot at Hockeytown Cafe (www.hockeytowncafe.com). Here are some shots of their shoot.

Andrea & Patrick

Ok, so if you scroll back to my first blog post you will see Andrea and Patrick a few years back. I've known Andrea from our Our State days and have kept in touch ever since. I was elated when she asked if I would shoot her and Patrick's wedding. They got married at Briar Chapel in Chapel Hill on September 18th, 2010. This is my first bride I've taken the engagement pics and wedding pics for so they mean alot to me. I'm really happy to share these images, I hope you enjoy them =)

Alexandra & Jimmy

I was lucky enough to be a part of Aleks and Jimmy's Lake Norman wedding (thanks to Bryan). They tied the knot at a private residence off of Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC on September 11th, 2010. Aleks was gorgeous in her dress, and the weather turned out perfect after a few nervous showers earlier in the day. Here are a few images from the wedding day.

Monica & Eric

I was lucky enough to become Monica and Eric's wedding photographer, thanks to friend and past bride, Sarah. I traveled a few short hours to the coast, Myrtle Beach to be exact. The day had turned out perfectly for us, and everyone was great. The guests and bridal party were all a joy to be around. I truly had a blast shooting this wedding. Not to mention how gorgeous the images turned out, enjoy a preview.

Mitch & Megan

Meet Mitch and Megan, possibly the cutest couple ever. I've known both Mitch and Megan for about two years and it is clear they are in love. I'm so happy for them.

Monica & Jonathan

I have known Monica since she was born. We grew up together so I was ecstatic when her dad approached me to be her wedding photographer. Monica and Jonathan had their wedding in Tennessee. It was like a family reunion for me to see all of the familiar faces I haven't seen in a few years. I was even thrilled to be asked to be in a few shots, an unpopular request for wedding photographers. I'm really happy with how these turned out, let me know what you think!

Atlantic Beach

I was pretty excited when I found out I booked a beach wedding. My first. Atlantic Beach was the perfect backdrop for this simple backyard wedding. I am hoping this wedding will open up many more beach weddings for me to photograph. Maybe I can even get a mini-vacation out of some of these too? Anyways, here is a quick storyboard featuring the highlights of the day.
